Miss Natalie AIDTA - Principal

Natalie Tierney, Principal of CSDA has been dancing since the age of 4. Dancing has always been Miss Natalie’s passion, and over the years she has won numerous awards, and has performed at theatres throughout the UK. 

She qualified as a dance teacher at the age of 16, and began teaching children of all ages at her local dance school in Great Barr, Birmingham.

It was always Natalie’s ambition to one day run her own dance school, so in 2004 she took the plunge and Centre Stage Dance Academy was born. Classes were originally taught at a local primary school in Rowley Regis, but as the dance school developed and grew, CSDA had to relocate a couple of times, and now is based at Haden Hill Leisure Centre, Cradley Heath.

Miss Natalie is the Safeguarding Lead for CSDA, and also a qualified First Aider.

Miss Jill - Dance Teacher

Miss Jill teaches technical classes in a variety of styles, IDTA examination classes and 1:1 private tuition for competition. After training and competing from the age of 3-18, Miss Jill moved on to study Dance and Performance at university, graduating in 2017 with an honorary degree. During her time at university, Miss Jill has been able to work professionally as a dancer and choreographer. She has also worked and competed in the UK and internationally. 

Miss Kitty - Musical Theatre Teacher 

Miss Kitty is the Musical Theatre teacher at CSDA. Teaching students the three key components of Musical Theatre (singing, dancing and acting) and how to apply these to all aspects of their performing. Miss Kitty also offers 1:1 singing technique classes and helps prepare students for auditions and shows. Miss Kitty gained her degree in Musical Theatre and since then has had the privilege of working professionally on cruise ships and touring shows such as, Puss in Boots and Sweet Charity. Miss Kitty has most recently finished a season as a resident vocalist at a holiday village.  

Miss Charlotte - Dance Teacher

Miss Charlotte has been dancing and performing since the age of 3. As well as entering competitions locally and nationally, she has performed in musical productions at the Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham, and the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre. She has also completed IDTA examinations in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Theatre Craft to Advanced levels. 

In 2012 Miss Charlotte achieved 'Distinction' in the IDTA Graduate Dance Teacher examination at Associate Level.

Miss Charlotte joined CSDA in 2014, where she initially taught classes mid week and assisting with holiday camps, whilst studying for her teaching degree. She is now a qualified teacher at a local SEN school.
You will see Miss Charlotte on Saturday mornings, where she teaches our Babies and Junior classes.

Miss Michelle - Volunteer

Miss Michelle first came to CSDA back in 2010, when she enrolled her now grown up daughter. As a child, Miss Michelle danced and performed at her local dance school. She is an invaluable member of the team, giving up her own spare time to assist the teaching staff, mainly helping out with our Babies and Junior classes on a Saturday morning.
